This morning I am sitting with my son Graham at the official “Superbowl XLIV Breakfast.” There are football legends everywhere. The irony of this moment is that I’ve never followed football and I have no idea who these guys are. Each athelete is sharing about the importance of their faith in their game and the importance of perseverance and character. Today they are honoring Kurt Warner with the coveted Bart Starr Award. The Bart Starr award is voted on by the NFL players and is given to the player who best exemplifies outstanding character and leadership in the home, on the field and in the community. Michael Vick is also here with Tony Dungy talking about the power of redemption in his life. It all comes down to making good choices and being the man that God wants you to be. Success and failure goes hand in hand, and being in the company of champions is inspiring. However, the greatest moment this morning was seeing the smile on my sons face making memories with his dad…

Diaper Free!

Beth and I heard from a friend about Potty Training your child in three days. It sounded too good to be true. They obviously haven’t meet my Little Trace. We strategized and prepared ourselves for this record setting event and then cleared the calendar. The big day finally came and true to day ones decription Trace did not have a perfect record. By day two it was more of the same. As we rolled Into day three I was the biggest skeptic. Here this kid goes 2 days with a not even close to perfect record, I’m thinking there’s just no way, we will be on the 5 day plan for sure. Then it happened, The moment of truth, Day 3. I can’t explain it but it all came together for Trace, perhaps it was the introduction of the almighty sticker reward. Regardless of how the miracle came. It’s been three nights since that moment and I cannot believe he hasn’t had even one accident. We are now Diaper Free!!!
